Peter Pan Goes Wrong, the play from the Olivier award winning team behind The Play That Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, Mischief Theatre, will be broadcast on television later this year.

The play, which has played the West End, will actually be filmed in front of a live audience at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire and broadcast in December.

The original cast of the West End’s hit comedy The Play That Goes Wrong also return to the stage this Christmas in J.M. Barrie’s classic Peter Pan. Members of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society battle against technical hitches, flying mishaps and cast disputes. Will they ever make it to Neverland? You can catch the stage production of Peter Pan Goes Wrong in the West End at the Apollo Theatre in Theatreland from October 20th 2016 to January 29th, 2017.

There’s no specific broadcast date for Peter Pan Goes Wrong TV airing as yet, but we’re told that it will air on BBC One.

Chris Sussman, Head of Comedy at the BBC said: “Peter Pan Goes Wrong was one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen in the theatre, and I’m thrilled we’ve got the chance to bring it to BBC One.”

Mischief Theatre added: “We are quite staggered at the success of the simply disastrous stage shows this company keeps putting on and hope that their attempt at television doesn’t ruin the nation’s festive cheer!”

You can purchase Peter Pan Goes Wrong theatre tickets in The Hollywood News Box-Office. We hear very good things.

We’ll bring you more on the Peter Pan Goes Wrong TV airing as it comes in.
