Yes, that Slash. The Guns N’ Roses guitarist owns his own production company called Slasher Films (who knew?) and will be funding upcoming horror NOTHING TO FEAR.
Thomas Haden Church (SIDEWAYS) is the first actor to sign up to the feature, in which a family settle in a new town unaware that it’s one of the seven gateways to Hell. Haden Church will portray an unhinged clergymen who clashes with the residents.
The script comes from Jonathan W.C. Mills who based the film’s location on Stull, Kansas, which is rumoured to be a real-life gateway to Hell and the Devil’s favourite hang-out.
Anthony Leonardi is making his directorial debut, having previously animated storyboards and designed creatures for RANGO, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD’S END, and CONSTANTINE.
Slash commented: “Our mission at Slasher Films has been to create genre films that defy the genre stereotypes. The team of Anthony and Thomas elevate an already frightening story with a unique vision and powerful artistry.”
