Hugh Jackman has finished shooting his final Wolverine movie and has been talking to Entertainment Tonight about his experiences on that movie. The film itself isn;t due until 2017, but Jackman has already hinted at the ton of the James Mangold-directed movie and when we will be able to see some early footage (possibly the first teaser trailer).
Speaking to ET, Jackman gave an update:
“We’ve finished shooting. I just saw Jim Mangold today. He’s editing away and finishing that. There’s going to be some stuff coming out in the next week or so. That’s all I’ll say. I’m not good. I’m the kind of person who tells everybody everything. Basically it’s going to be different. Very different in tone and hopefully to anything we’ve done.”
Does that mean we’ll get a much darker movie – potentially a higher certificate a la Deadpool? Well, yes, we know that after writer and producer Simon Kinberg confirmed the R-rating recently, but we’re intrigued as to which direction Mangold and co. have decided to go with the movie.
Patrick Stewart returns as Professor Xavier, alongside Boyd Holbrook, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Stephen Merchant, and Richard E. Grant.
Wolverine 3, which we don’t expect to be its final title, will debut on March 3, 2017.
