Watch the new red-band trailer for TIFF fave ‘The Edge Of Seventeen’

The Edge Of Seventeen closed this year’s Toronto International Film Festival to huge acclaim. The Hailee Steinfeld-led comedy-drama was one that sadly passed us by on our TIFF travels and we’d already departed Canada as it played, but the good news is we, and indeed the world, will be able to view the film when it starts to roll out at the end of November.

A new red-band trailer for the film, which also stars Blake Jenner, Kyra Sedgwick, Haley Lu Richardson and Woody Harrelson has just been released. Here’s the synopsis:

Everyone knows that growing up is hard, and life is no easier for high school junior Nadine (Hailee Steinfeld), who is already at peak awkwardness when her all-star older brother Darian (Blake Jenner) starts dating her best friend Krista (Haley Lu Richardson). All at once, Nadine feels more alone than ever, until the unexpected friendship of a thoughtful boy gives her a glimmer of hope that things just might not be so terrible after all.

Here’s that trailer. The film releases in the UK on November 25th and the US a week earlier on November 18th.
