The first images from the set of the in-production Ocean’s 8 are now online. Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett, who headline the movie, have been spotted on the streets of New York City shooting the vert first scenes from the film, which will hit cinemas next year.
Gary Ross (also pictured in the first image) is directing the film, which will also star Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina. The film will actually be a continuation of the Ocean’s story with Bullock playing Danny Ocean’s (George Clooney – who doesn’t appear) ex-con sister. She forms a team of thieves to steal a necklace from the Met Ball in order to frame a villainous gallery owner.
