Luke Cage season 2 greenlit by Netflix. The Marvel Entertainment series will come to the streaming platform very soon.

A Luke Cage season 2 will go ahead after Netflix greenlighted it via an announcement video on the official Twitter page.
Mike Colter will lead the cast of the second season, reprising his role as the title character. Of you’re unfamiliar with the show and the story, here’s the plot.
After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city–forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
Luke Cage also stars Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Frank Whaley as Rafael Scarfe, Mahershala Ali as Cottonmouth, Theo Rossi as Shades, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple.
Cheo Hodari Coker (Notorious, NCIS: Los Angeles) is executive producer and showrunner for the first season of Marvel’s Luke Cage.
The character will next be seen in Marvel’s The Defenders, their ensemble series which will see Cage unite with Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist. The Defenders is shooting right now for an air sate in 2017.
