R.I.P. Debbie Reynolds

U.S. actress Debbie Reynolds has died, just a day after her daughter Carrie Fisher. Reynolds was 84 and was rushed to hospital on December 28th following a suspected stroke.

The BBC are reporting that Todd Fisher, Reynolds’ son, said the stress of his sister’s death had been too much for her and in her last words, she had said she wanted to be with Carrie.

Reynolds was a true Hollywood legend and appeared in over 80 productions spanning six decades, including a number of Hollywood musicals that included Singing In The Rain in the 1950s and 1960s.

The actress was given a lifetime achievement award by the Screen Actor’s Guild in 2015.
