Paramount Pictures has set a director for its planned Transformers spin-off Bumblebee. Deadline Hollywood reports that none other than Travis Knight, who brought last year’s Oscar-nominated Kubo And The Two Strings to strings to screens, will take on the first stand-alone film in the movie saga.
There are no plot details for the film yet, but the film will revolve around the very popular character of Bumblebee, the Autobot who can transform into a yellow and black-striped Chevrolet Camaro.
Bumblebee will no doubt feature in this summer’s huge Transformers: The Last Knight, which is bound for cinemas courtesy of Michael Bay on 23rd June. Bumblebee is currently set for a 2018 release.
