Whiplash and Bleed For This star Miles Teller has join Nicolas Winding Refn‘s planned Amazon TV series as the lead. The planned series is titled Too Old To Die Young and, according to Deadline, who broke news of the casting, will be entirely directed by Refn based on his own screenplay that he wrote with Ed Brubaker.
Deadline says that Teller will play Martin, a police officer entangled in the world of assassins in the show, which is set to start up production soon. The series will explore the criminal underbelly of Los Angeles by following killers’ existential journeys in becoming samurai.
“I’m a huge fan of Nic’s work, so the opportunity to work with him, and for a company like Amazon, with this type of material is very exciting,” said Teller to the outlet.
