If you aren’t already aware of the first release by Tom Six THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FIRST SEQUENCE) in what could develop into a potential series then maybe it’s worth watching. If you can see yourself subscribing to the so-dumb-its-good genre then perhaps you’ll enjoy the surprisingly popular cult horror.
The sequel will follow a very similar plot it seems to the first installment, which told the creepy tale of a German scientist fulfilling his sick fantasies and engineering a ‘Human Centipede’ comprised of three humans stitched mouth to anus.
Despite the films consistently bad reviews it gained a cult following originating on the internet and is now as talked about as films such as THE ROOM (Tommy Wiseau). Now that the film has a sizable fan base the success of the next film THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FULL SEQUENCE) could be quite imaginable.
(FULL SEQUENCE) and (FIRST SEQUENCE) look to be essentially the same film but the latest release will up the ante in terms of victims, (jumping from 3 to 12) and surely lunacy. The films premiers tonight at Fantastic Fest and will open in cinemas on the 6th of October.
I’m not sure how well the film will do in the box office but I can well imagine its current cult following will certainly be intrigued to check it out somewhere or other.
