There are some rumours bundling around the internet today that Jessica Chastain wants to join the cast of the It sequel over at Warner Bros. These rumours stem from an interview with Screen Rant who interviewed Chastain along with Idris Elba for their upcoming film Molly’s Game, which is released in a few weeks.
The outlet asked the actress if she’d be interested in playing the role of Bev i the sequel, which should roll into production next year.
“Well, I love Andy [Muschietti} and Barbara [Muschietti]. I worked with them on Andy’s directorial debut, you know, his film, Mama. His first film. And you know, Barbara is one of my best friends so…we’ll see.” Elba added, “Get me in! I love that movie!” Chastain followed up with, “Listen, of course, I want to work… they’re my friends. They’re like my family. Anything that they’re doing I want to be a part of, so I hope we can make it happen.”
The new film will be written by Gary Dauberman and directed by Andy Muschietti, and will hit cinemas on September 6, 2019. The first movie in the double-header has grossed a huge $677 million around the world since its release back in September.
