Warner Brothers are getting their house in order by lining up some key release info for some big movies for 2019, so reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Damian Szifron (Wild Things) is set to direct the adaptation of the classic 1970s television show The Six-Million-Dollar Man with Mark Wahlberg in the lead role, and Warner Brothers have snapped up the rights to the project. There’s no release date as yet for that, but the studio has revealed that it will also debut Edward Norton’s feature adaptation of the Jonathan Lethem novel Motherless Brooklyn in 2019, as well as an as yet untilted Clint Eastwood movie.
There’s also the sequel to the New Line horror film Lights Out and potentially the net James Bond film, though it’s still not a cert that WB has landed the distribution rights as yet. Other key releases include The LEGO Movie 2 for February 8,2019, rom-com Isn’t It Romantic on February 14, the Godzilla sequel on March 22, Shazam on April 5, Minecraft on May 24, Shaft on June 14, IT: Chapter 2 on September 6, The Goldfinch on October 11, Wonder Woman 2 on November 1, and Margie Claus on November 15.
Quite the line-up.
The WB clearly want to add to their huge 2017, a year when they have made a whopping $5 billion-plus at the global box-office.
