Paramount Pictures has released the debut trailer for JJ Abrams-produced horror movie – yes, horror movie – Overlord. This one has a cast that includes Jovan Adepo, Jacob Anderson, Pilou Asbæk, Iain De Caestecker, John Magaro, Wyatt Russell and Bokeem Woodbine, and arrives in cinemas later in the year.
The film has an interesting concept. It follows US paratroopers who drop behind enemy lines, to infiltrate a small village. Unfortunately, they realize the Nazis are experimenting with supernatural forces to fight them.
This is brutal stuff, so be warned.
Overlord is written by Billy Ray (Flightplan, Hart’s War, upcoming Terminator movie) and directed by Australian filmmaker Julius Avery (Son of a Gun).
