Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, the guys behind the Saw movies from Saw IV all of the way through to Saw 3D: The Final Chapter, as well as the films The Collection and The Neighbour, are planning a Christmas-themed horror movie, and teaming with A Quiet Place‘s Platinum Dunes and Sony Pictures to realise it for the screen.
Deadline reports the news will be in the vein of something like those 90s horror movies Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, but nothing else has been revealed as yet.
Looking at the timing, we’d expect this to be realistically heading for screens next holiday season (2019). With Dunes coming off the huge hit that was A Quiet Place and Melton and Dunstan’s superb horror pedigree, we going to be looking at something quite special.
More as it comes in.
