The film has been getting some negative press in terms of its box-office performance over the past few days (it has only taken $42 million worldwide since its release from a reported $100 million budget), but here’s a video for Mortal Engines that shows off some of the intricate work that went into the movie.

Many years after the “Sixty Minute War,” cities survive a now desolate Earth by moving around on giant wheels attacking and devouring smaller towns to replenish their resources.
Mortal Engines was released in cinemas a week ago to mixed reviews. Our review wasn’t too favourable either, but you have to admire the effort that has gone into loving creating this film, as this featurette shows.
I’ve yet to see the film personally, but this video really makes me want to at least check it out. Mortal Engines is now playing. The featurette, titled ‘The Model Maker’, is below.
