Released in cinemas across the country today is the big remake of perhaps one of the coolest films of the 1980’s; a film that put Kevin Bacon on the map, and one which featured one of the best movie themes of all time. FOOTLOOSE has been adapted for modern audiences, and the story of Ren MacCormack, the big city kid who moves to a small town where rock ‘n’ roll and dancing have been banned, is bigger and brighter than ever.
The 2011 FOOTLOOSE comes to the screen from HUSTLE & FLOW and BLACK SNAKE MOAN director Craig Brewer, and sees dancer turned actor Kevin Wormald head into the spotlight as the new Ren MacCormack. Yesterday morning, the lovely folks at Paramount Pictures invited The Hollywood News down to Pineapple Dance Studios in London to take part in a spot of line-dancing.
