SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS hasn’t even hit our screens yet but Warner Bros are already well underway with the planning for a third.
The studios have hired Drew Pearce, who is the creator of the British superhero TV satire NO HEROICS, to begin writing the script for the next SHERLOCK HOLMES instalment.
While it may seem unusual for a scribe to be hired this early, it mirrors the workings of the previous film. Warner Bros hired Michele and Kieran Mulroney, the writers of A GAME OF SHADOWS, in September 2009, three months before the first instalment was even shown.
Chosen scribe Pearce appears to be a man on the move; not only is he is working on Paramount’s adaption of the DC Comic’s THE MIGHTY but he is also teaming up again with Robert Downey Jr on IRON MAN 3. Looks like we need to watch this space.
