Released today from the animation studios LAIKA that brought us CORALINE is the poster for their up and coming release PARANORMAN. It’s based around a boy named Norman Babcock, who is eleven and an outcast that can speak with the dead. His town is plagued by a centuries-old curse and Norman must quickly learn to use his powers to fend off zombies, ghosts and worst of all, moronic adults. Plus, he’s been grounded.
PARANORMAN comes from the pen of Chris Butler who has worked on CORALINE and CORPSE BRIDE but this is his first screenplay. It’s directed by Butler and Sam Fell who also directed FLUSHED AWAY.
Featuring the voice talents of Kodi Smit-McPhee (THE ROAD, LET ME IN), Anna Kendrick, Casey Affleck, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, John Goodman, Alex Borstein and is currently set for 2012 summer release date.
