Horrific New Promo Art For Rob Zombie’s The Lords Of Salem

Rob Zombie’s list of contributions to the world of media is abundant and diverse. His low-key style and morbidity has pervaded the world of music as much as film for many years; his professional credits reaching far across the spectrum. They include being a composer, director, writer, actor and producer.

The artwork below has been released in order to promote Zombie’s latest project, THE LORDS OF SALEM, which is in its second week of shooting. He also wrote the script for the film, which stars a host of actors renowned for their performances in cult classics, including Ken Foree, Dee Wallace, Sid Haig and Sheri Moon Zombie.

The story surrounds several characters working at a local radio station in Salem, Massachusetts, who receive a mysterious wooden box containing a vinyl record; a gift from the Lords of Salem. The seemingly innocent gesture has far more sinister undertones which are revealed as the Lords return to Salem with one objective: they’re out for blood.

The film is due to be released in the US in 2012, but details for a UK release are unavailable at present.

Martin has been a film buff (or geek, if you prefer) for as long as he can remember. However, he lives and longs for storytelling of all kinds, and writes across numerous mediums to feed his insatiable appetite. He lives in north-west London, and his favourite films are, possibly: PAN'S LABYRINTH, THEY LIVE, PSYCHO, HIGH FIDELITY, ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, STAND BY ME, SIDEWAYS and OFFICE SPACE.
