Spectral Picked Up By Legendary Pictures

Ian Fried, one of Hollywood’s most promising screen writing talents, has reportedly sold his script SPECTRAL to Warner Bros-based Legendary Pictures.

The story is touted as a dark and gritty version of GHOSTBUSTERS, in which a special op team take on villainous ghosts who have taken over Manhattan. The project sounds extremely promising, especially for fans of genre films.

Fried has already made a name for himself with a number of inventive scripts that have been doing the rounds within the industry, most notably ‘Gaslight’, a murder mystery featuring Florence Nightingale and Jack the Ripper.

There is no word yet on production details.
