Ever wondered what Nixon and El
vis might end up doing if they palled around together? Well If Cary Elwes’ ELVIS AND NIXON lives up to my expectations, we’ll hopefully get to see Nixon foot-tapping and clicking along to Jailhouse Rock whilst formulating a wicked scheme.
All wishful thinking aside, a few plot details have been revealed. In the film Elvis Presley writes a letter to Nixon requesting a visit and to be made a ‘Federal Agent-at-Large’. Nixon of course obliges and ‘The King’ starts cracking heads in the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. He brings with him colt 45s and family photos as a gift for Nixon.
With direction and a screenplay from Cary Elwes ELVIS AND NIXON will be his directorial debut and with Eric Bana and Danny Huston starring he’s potentially on to a winner.
Initial filming will commence in Shreveport and Los Angeles shortly, and with the support of Pick Up Truck Productions as executive producers, the film with an already amusing concept and fun cast could be hitting the screens quite soon.
