After THE RAID went down a storm at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this year, studio Screen Gems have their sights set on an English language remake of the Indonesian action film. Welshman Gareth Evans, writer/director of the original film, will serve as an executive producer on the remake and the stunt team in the original will also be involved.
THE RAID tells the story of a SWAT team on a mission to apprehend a notorious drug lord, who resides inside a derelict tenement block. Trapped on the six floor, the SWAT team are heavily outnumbered by the gangsters, killers and lowlifes that inhabit the building, and the team are forced to fight their way out to survive.
Check out the red band trailer for the original film below. Adults only.

Is Iko Uwais, will also be involved in the remake movie of The Raid?
Cause the movie will be awful, if the main dish of the movie which is Silat is not shown in the movie

So far…they’ve only confirmed the remake and the same producers, however, no cast members have been at this early stage!
Hopefully they will though…
