There are worst ways to start 2012 and the fourth film from this franchise, UNDERWORLD AWAKENINGS, sees the return of Kate Beckinsale’s Selene, all leather-clad and ready for action against humanity. Selene escapes imprisonment and is thrown into as world where humans have discovered the existence of vampires and lycans. The human race is out to extinguish every trace of both species but the vampire warrior takes charge to lead the battle against humankind.
UNDERWORLD AWAKENINGS is directed by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein who previously worked together on SHELTER. It stars Kate Beckinsale, Stephen Rea (V FOR VENDETTA) and India Eisley (THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER) and is due for a January 20th 2012 release.
