J.J.Abrams has already brought us LOST, FRINGE, SUPER 8 and now has another puzzle project ready to launch in the form of the mysterious ALCATRAZ.
Today we’ve seen the teaser that gives us the premise that over 300 men go missing one day from the infamous prison in San Francisco but a character played by Sam Neill appears to be hinting that they’ve not vanished forever.
It’s already been confirmed that the awesome Jorge Garcia (Hurley!) is set to play a lead role and it’s all due to kick off next year. Check out the promo below:
There’s a decent cast assembled as well and although there has been initial reports of re-shooting and creative differences from the production team, we’re hopeful that it gets a decent enough run to find itself in an age where everything seems to be cancelled before its begun!
We’re also intrigued to see the return of Parminder Nagra (ER) alongside the aforementioned Sam Neill and Jorge Garcia plus Sarah Jones, Robert Forster, Santiago Cabrera and Jonny Coyne.
