After dropping his biggest movie to date, Alita: Battle Angel during the first part of the year, Robert Rodriguez has named his next directorial effort. The film will be titled Hypnotic, which will be a big-budget action thriller set to roll in he near future.
Hypnotic is described reportedly “follows a detective who becomes entangled in a mystery involving his missing daughter and a secret government program, while investigating a string of impossible high-end heists.”
Rodriguez also revealed his news on his social channels.
The film is reportedly currently in the casting stage.
Alita: Battle Angel opened back in February to $404 million. It is now available on the home fomats.
Rodriguez is no stranger to the action genre. His first movie was the legendary El Mariachi, which was made for just $7000 in early nineties. Following that movie he has directed the likes of Desperado, the two Sin City films and Machete.
