Trailer for festival winner ‘Out Stealing Horses’ with Stellan Skarsgård

The film premiered at the 2020 Berlin Film Festival,

A new trailer has been released for the Berlin Silver Bear winner Out Stealing Horses which has a cast led by the superb Stellan Skarsgård. Bjørn Floberg, Tobias Santelmann, Jon Ranes, and Danica Curcic also star in the feature which is written and directed by Hans Petter Moland.

The film is based on the novel of the same name by Per Petterson.

November 1999: 67-year-old Trond (Stellan Skarsgård), lives in self-imposed isolation and looks forward to welcoming in the new millennium alone. As winter arrives he meets one of his few neighbors, Lars (Bjørn Floberg), and realizes he knew him back in the summer of 1948. 1948 – the year Trond turned 15. The summer Trond grew up. OUT STEALING HORSES is based on the bestselling novel by Norwegian author Per Petterson, which received several important international awards and was included in The New York Times ’10 Best Books of 2007 (Fiction)’. Petterson’s novels have been translated into more than 50 languages.

Release-wise, the film is getting a release in cinemas and on-demand in the North American territories. It had a UK debut at this year’s Glasgow Film Festival and is already available in other European territories.
