With uncertainty around the world, particularly some US states in regards to the opening of cinemas, Warner Bros. has delayed the release of the Christopher Nolan movie Tenet once again. The $200 million-plus epic was set to open in cinemas in July but was then pushed to mid-August due to some territories having most of their cinemas closed. Now the film has been moved again though this time with a new release date being set.
“We are not treating Tenet like a traditional global day-and-date release, and our upcoming marketing and distribution plans will reflect that,” said Toby Emmerich, chairman of the Warner Bros. Pictures Group.
Emmerich added that a new 2020 date will be announced imminently.
Tenet is the lastest film from Christopher Nolan and stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh.
The movie was shot on location across seven countries, and is an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.
