New clip from ‘Uncle Frank’ starring Paul Bettany as a revered literature professor

The film will be released on Amazon Prime Video in November.

Check out this brand new clip from an upcoming new film called Uncle Frank which will star Paul Bettany and arrive on Amazon Prime Video later in the year. The film debuted at Sundance earlier this year before being snapped up by the streamer who will release teh film on their platform in November.  Sophia Lillis, Peter Macdissi, Steve Zahn, Judy Greer and Margo Martindale round out the principal cast. Alan Ball writes and directs.

Here’s the synopsis:

In 1973, teenaged Beth Bledsoe (Sophia Lillis) leaves her rural Southern hometown to study at New York University where her beloved Uncle Frank (Paul Bettany) is a revered literature professor. She soon discovers that Frank is gay, and living with his longtime partner Walid “Wally” Nadeem (Peter Macdissi) — an arrangement that he has kept secret for years. After the sudden death of Frank’s father — Beth’s grandfather — Frank is forced to reluctantly return home for the funeral with Beth in tow, and to finally face a long-buried trauma that he has spent his entire adult life running away from.
