The casting was very decent, and the scares were there too. The pyramid head character is also a bonus to this movie as against other video game movies, though the sight may have you covering your face sometimes.
3. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
In the ‘Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within,’ you encounter those Hollywood actors that would appear for the sake of the money, a very huge reliance on new technology and a brand new story in a franchise that is well loved. All these combine to make it a movie to watch. When you look at it currently, it may have some air of sterility, but it was a marvel to behold at the time it was released, and the banana’s fantasy plot was the icing.

8. Assassins Creed
This is like the movie that brought video game movies to the spotlight. While those before it were seen as odd and meant for a particular audience, this dispelled all that with its compelling and captivating story about the great struggle between the temple order and the creed.
With great names like Michael K. Williams, Marion Cotillard, and Michael Fassbender, we can say that it is star studded, and this assigns huge legitimacy to the movie as it explores a massive Animus adventure in 15th Century Spain. Considering its low and high points, it’s a great movie to enjoy.
9. Tomb Raider
Imitating the 2013 rebooted game, this movie presents a very vulnerable Lara to the big screen. Though this may not be among the biggest action flicks, it pays a great homage to one of the best games of its time. It tells a direct story of the games, with a Lara that is full of life, and who looks better in London than she looks while raiding tombs in the lost kingdom. Full of stars, it made a lot of difference, even as we expect the sequel.
10. Detective Pikachu
This may be the best video game movie ever. Once it was announced that Deadpool himself- Ryan Reynolds, will be the voiceover man, we knew the Pokémon brand has outdone itself here. It’s about the 21-year-old Tim Goodman that is searching for his missing private investigator father, Henry, and had to do it with Pikachu. Family sentiments, enough jokes for the humor, and a mélange of stars, as directed by Rob Letterman makes it the best.
