Trailer for Robin Wright’s directorial debut, ‘Land’

The film gets a world premiere at Sundance.

Focus Features has delivered the trailer for acclaimed actor Robin Wright’s directorial debut, Land. This one is due on screens in 2021, and I’m really looking forward to checking it. This one is heading to Sundance in January for its world premiere and then will get a release in North America in February. Wright directs from a screenplay by Jesse Chatham, and Erin Dignam. Wright stars alongside Demián Bichir and Kim Dickens.

Here’s the synopsis for the movie: From acclaimed actress Robin Wright comes her directorial debut LAND, the poignant story of one woman’s search for meaning in the vast and harsh American wilderness. Edee (Wright), in the aftermath of an unfathomable event, finds herself unable to stay connected to the world she once knew and in the face of that uncertainty, retreats to the magnificent, but unforgiving, wilds of the Rockies. After a local hunter (Demián Bichir) brings her back from the brink of death, she must find a way to live again.

The film is set in the American wilderness, but was apparently shot in Canada. It will hit Utah at Sundance on 31st January. I’m a big fan of Wright so look forward to checking it out.

No idea when this will hit international territories, but the US will get to see the film from 12th February. Here’s that trailer.
