‘Hocus Pocus 2’ will be delivered to Disney+ for a Halloween 2022 premiere

Here is some good news for nostalgia fans, in particular those who love Hocus Pocus, the 1993 smash starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy. Kenny Ortega directed the original movie while its planned sequel will see the original cast return with The Proposal director Anne Fletcher at the helm.

Midler herself shared the news on her socials on Thursday.

The first film followed three witches who were resurrected 300 years after their demise by a teenage boy (Omri Katz) in Salem, Massachusetts, on Halloween night. The new film will centre on three young women who accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to life.

Shooting kicks off in the autumn with that Halloween 2022 date targeted.
