Here’s some big premiere news; Wes Anderson’s much-delayed, but highly anticipated new movie The French Dispatch is getting its deserved world premiere at Cannes in July. It has also just been announced that the movie will release in cinemas stateside in the latter half of the year.
Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson lead the cast of the ensemble piece.
The film tells a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city.
As well as the Cannes premiere, which will be during its 6th-17th July run, Searchlight Pictures has announced that the film will get a stateside release on 22nd October this year.
More as it comes in.
