A new poster has arrived for the upcoming Stanleyville, a new film set to debut at the 2021 Fantasia International Film Festival, which is now running online and in Montreal, Canada.
In the film, prim and proper Maria Barbizan (Susanne Wuest of Goodnight Mommy) unceremoniously walks away from her boring job, her inept husband, and her obnoxious daughter.
Moments later, she is swept up in a bizarre contest alongside a handful of idiosyncratic characters, all competing for the chance to win true enlightenment… and one slightly used habanero-orange compact sport utility vehicle.
The film is directed by Maxwell McCabe-Lokos, and stars Susanne Wuest, Julian Richings, Cara Ricketts, and Christian Serritiello. Produced by Hayley Brown. Written by Maxwell McCabe-Lokos and Rob Benvie.
More as it comes in. Check out the new poster above.
