Altitude has been in touch to tell us that they are set to release martial arts comedy The Paper Tigers on UK shores this September. The film has been warmly received and yes, we’ve seen it. We said that the movie ‘captures the essence of all those golden martial arts films of the 80s and 90s’, so if that doesn’t get you excited for it, then nothing will.

The story is as follows:
Three Kung Fu prodigies have grown into washed-up, middle-aged men, now one kick away from pulling their hamstrings. but when their master is murdered, they must juggle their dead-end jobs, dad duties, and old grudges to avenge his death.
The one is led by Alain Uy (True Detective), Ron Yuan (Mulan), and Mykel Shannon Jenkins (Undisputed 3).
The Paper Tigers is getting a little bit of cinema outing in the UK with the film opening the Fighting Spirit Film Festival on 11th September, at the Stratford Picturehouse, London, but its proper release is on the digital platforms from the 20th September.
Our full review of the film from Fantasia almost a year ago is available to check out on the site here.
