Road to FrightFest: Interview with Richard Waters, Alison Scarff, Ciara Bailey & Tad Morari for their film ‘Bring Out the Fear’

The film will screen in the Discovery screens on Saturday 28th August.

Arrow Video FrightFest is now so close that we can almost taste it. The twenty-second edition of the popular genre film festival will take over Cineworld Leicester Square for five days running from 26th  – 30th August. After last year’s big summer event having been moved online due to Covid-19 restrictions, fans, filmmakers, and organisers alike are chomping at the bit to get back to experiencing the power of the dark heart of cinema in an actual cinema again. Ahead of FrightFest’s glorious return, we’ve been speaking with as many of the filmmaking talent, both in front of and behind the screen, of this year’s selection that we can, to whet the appetite and ramp the excitement levels further.

Our next interview sees us speak with the cast and crew of Bring Out the Fear: writer and director Richard Waters, producer Alison Scarff, and lead actors Ciara Bailey and Tad Morari. Bring Out the Fear screens at FrightFest as part of the First Blood strand of programming, the portion of the festival that is dedicated to brand new voices that are producing exciting new works. The screening at FrightFest is extra special for director Richard Waters as he has been a regular attendee for years. The story places couple Sophie (Bailey) and Dan (Morari) at the forefront after their little hike in the woods takes a disastrous turn. After finding their environment altered, the pair must work together to survive, but with their relationship already fractured and balancing on a knife edge, will they make it?

Bring Out the Fear will screen in the Discovery screens on Saturday 28th August. When we spoke with the quartet in the days leading up to the event everyone was in high-spirits and couldn’t wait to share their film baby with the FrightFest masses. We discussed how Waters went from sitting in the Arrow Video Screen to getting behind the camera, and exactly what the group have cooked up for the fans.

Bring Out the Fear will receive its world premiere at Arrow Video FrightFest on Saturday 28th August 2021. Tickets for the screening can be purchased on the FrightFest website.
