A new trailer has been released for Sean Baker’s next film Red Rocket which had its premiere earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival. A24 will release the movie starting from 3rd December.
The audacious new film from writer-director Sean Baker, starring Simon Rex in a magnetic, live-wire performance, RED ROCKET is a darkly funny and humane portrait of a uniquely American hustler and a hometown that barely tolerates him.
Baker is, of course, the filmmaker behind the likes of the brilliant Tangerine and The Florida Project so I’m eagerly waiting for this new one. The word is good from Cannes, too.
Here’s the new trailer. And yes, that is NSYNC’s ‘Bye Bye Bye’ on the soundtrack. Brilliant.
