Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary has announced officially that they will make a Dune – Part Two, but the release date is still some ways off with the fall of 2023 announced by the studio. There is also a teaser image. Here it is.
Dune – Part One is now playing in cinemas and, where available, streaming on HBO Max.
Legendary said on Twitter:
This is only the beginning… Thank you to those who have experienced @dunemovie so far, and those who are going in the days and weeks ahead. We’re excited to continue the journey!
Most of the cast with social media accounts also tweeted the news of a follow-up. At the time of writing, the first Dune movie has made over $225 million worldwide, which is not bad considering the current global situation and the fact that it has only been out there for just about a week in most territories.
Denis Villeneuve is expected to return to helm Part Two.
