Nicolas Cage is all set to play the role of Dracula in a forthcoming movie led by Nicholas Hoult. Hoult will play the title character of Renfield ( R.M. Renfield) in the movie which is being set u with Universal Pictures and Skybound Entertainment.
The movie will be directed Chris McKay (The Tomorrow War, The LEGO Batman Movie), who will also produce with Ryan Ridley writing the screenplay, based on an idea by The Walking Dead‘s Robert Kirkman.
Deadline reports that the film will follow Renfield who was an inmate at a lunatic asylum who was thought to be suffering from delusions but actually is a servant of Dracula. It will apparently be set in the present day.
No news on the timeline for this one to hit production but we’re guessing next year.
