Christmas Movie Gift Guide: ‘No Time To Die’ – Movie, Corgi, Micro Scalextric

So, Christmas is officially nearing, and with the main event just over two weeks away, we thought we’d take a squint at some of the hottest movie and TV-themed ‘stuff’ out there that you’ll be able to pick for your loved ones to put under the tree for Christmas day. We kick things off with the latest 007 film No Time To Die. Released in cinemas earlier this, the film is officially released on the physical formats on 20th December. As well as the movie, there are also some great tie-ins available on the shelf.

No Time To Die Micro Scalextric

This one is priced at around the £50 mark and comes in an attractively-package box. Geared towards those aged 4 and up, the two-car set consists of an Aston Martin DB5 and the Jaguar XF which players can race against one another. Included in the pack are four meters of track, which you can snap together to make 9 track layouts, as well as those two mini cars, as well as speed limiting hand controllers.

As you can see from the image above, the cars are smaller than your usual Scalextrix motors – equal to the size of one of the Matchbox cars, but they are perfect for younger users as an entry point into the world of toy track racing. We tested out the track with a couple of four to eight-year-olds and had a great time with it. However, their interest wained after a while.

The Bond tie-in was a little lost on the kids, but for an eager daddy who has an interest in 007 – which over 30 doesn’t -, the set could be a great addition to the toy box, specifically if bundled with the movie itself.

Corgi Aston Martin DB5

If that isn’t your kind thing, and your loved one prefers the more collectible ‘toy’, then how about this from Corgi? The renowned brand has released the Aston Martin DB5 in a new No Time To Die edition, complete with damaged paintwork, a pair of miniguns behind the front headlights, and Italian license plates – as seen in the movie.

The car is 1:36 Scale and is 12.5 cm in length. It also comes in a swish No Time To Die black collector’s box.

… which brings us onto No Time To Die itself.
