Michael Sarnoski, who made a splash last year with the Nicolas Cage starrer Pig, is in negotiations to direct the spin-off to A Quiet Place, so reports Variety. The film is not a direct sequel to the two-film series set up over at Paramount, but more a story set within the same world of the sound-responsive creatures that terrorise America.
The project was set to be written and directed by Jeff Nichols, but he left the project and will now concentrate on an original sci-project at the same studio.
The spin-off A Quiet Place movie is based on an original idea by series writer and creator John Krasinski, though no further plot details have been revealed.
Pig was a huge hit both critically and with audiences in 2021 and he seems to be a perfect fit for this new project. Exciting news.
