Netflix has provided us with a first look at Dakota Johnson in the summer-released Netflix film Persuation. The film is based on the last novel completed by Jane Austen. Among the cast with Johnson, are Suki Waterhouse, Richard E. Grant, and Henry Golding.
The plot is as follows.
Living with her snobby family on the brink of bankruptcy, Anne Elliot is an unconforming woman with modern sensibilities. When Frederick Wentworth—the dashing one she let get away—crashes back into her life, Anne must choose between putting the past behind her or listening to her heart when it comes to second chances. Adapted from the Jane Austen novel.
Carrie Cracknell directs from a screenplay by Alice Victoria Winslow and Ron Bass. It will be released on the streamer on 15th July.
