Official teaser trailer for Andrew Dominik’s ‘Blonde’; Will come to Netflix in September

A teaser trailer has finally arrived for Andrew Dominik’s Blonde, the adults-only drama set for Netflix later this year. In fact, a release date has been set for the biopic, that sees Ana de Armas play Marilyn Monroe.

The film is directed by the superb Andrew Dominik and is based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates. According to the official logline, Blonde boldly reimagines the complicated life of icon Marilyn Monroe. Blurring the lines of fact and fiction, the film artfully explores the tension between her public and private life.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Based on the bestselling novel by Joyce Carol Oates, Blonde boldly reimagines the life of one of Hollywood’s most enduring icons, Marilyn Monroe. From her volatile childhood as Norma Jeane, through her rise to stardom and romantic entanglements, Blonde blurs the lines of fact and fiction to explore the widening split between her public and private selves. Written and directed by Andrew Dominik, the film boasts a cast led by Ana de Armas and featuring Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody, Julianne Nicholson, Xavier Samuel and Evan Williams.

I’m expecting this one to feature heavily at the autumn film festivals as the release has now been set for 23rd September.

Here’s the teaser.
