‘Moonage Daydream’, Brett Morgan’s film that ‘ illuminates the life and genius of David Bowie’ gets global release date

Moonage Daydream, the film from Brett Morgan that debuted at Cannes earlier this year has had a release date set. The film, a feature-length experiential cinematic odyssey, will land in cinemas globally from 16th of September.

The film explores Bowie’s creative, musical and spiritual journey. Told through sublime, kaleidoscopic, never-before-seen footage, performance and music, the film is guided by Bowie’s narration and is the first film to be officially sanctioned by Bowie’s estate.

Designed from conception as a unique cinematic experience, the film will be released around the world on September 16th*, with IMAX engagements in select territories. The previously announced film by visionary filmmaker Brett Morgen will be distributed by NEON in the US with Universal Pictures International launching the film internationally.

Moonage Daydream illuminates the life and genius of David Bowie, one of the most prolific and influential artists of our time. The motion picture reveals the celebrated icon through his own voice and features 48 musical tracks, mixed from their original stems.
