Taron Egerton is set to play a young TSA agent in new action thriller Carry On from director Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise, Black Adam). This one will come to the screen from Netflix and Amblin, and is said to be in the same vein as Collet-Serra’s action movies with Liam Neeson like Non-Stop.
TJ Fixman wrote the first draft of the script with Michael Green doing a polish, so reports Deadline.
The trade says that the film will revolve around Egerton’s character who gets blackmailed by a mysterious traveler to let a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight.
Shooting will reportedly kick off quite soon with a supposed 2023 release on Netflix.
Egerton can currently be seen in the brilliant Apple TV+ series Black Bird, for which he is getting rave reviews.
