Huu has provided us with a very first look at the upcoming limited TV series Welcome To Chippendales, which sees Kumail Nanjani star as entrepreneur Somen “Steve” Banerjee.
The series is set in the US in the 1970s and ’80s and focuses on the forming of the famous Chippendales male revue act. WandaVision’s Matt Shakman directs while Robert Siegel (Pam and Tommy) is showrunner.
A sprawling true-crime saga, “Welcome to Chippendales” tells the outrageous story of Somen “Steve” Banerjee, an Indian immigrant who became the unlikely founder of the world’s greatest male-stripping empire—and let nothing stand in his way in the process.
Also among the cast is Murray Bartlett, Juliette Lewis and Annaleigh Ashford, with Andrew Rannells, Nicola Peltz Beckham and Dan Stevens.
The first two episodes land on Hulu stateside and Disney+ outside of the US on November 22nd.
