A sequel to the 2018 horror movie The Nun has officially kicked off. The original film was a huge hit on screens, pulling in a massive $365 million+ at the global box-office.
Producer James Wan took to social media over the weekend to confirm the news of the start of production, and also to say that Michae Chaves (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) is directing. Bonnie Aarons and Taissa Farmiga are back for more, while Storm Reid is also among the cast.
No news plot-wise, but we are hearing that the movie is set in 1950s France, where the film is said to be shooting.
The sequel has a September 2023 release date set.
Here is Wan’s social post with a cheeky behind-the-scenes image.
