‘Adaptation’ is getting a 4K home re-release for its 20th anniversary

Nicolas Cage-led Adaptation has been confirmed to be getting a 20th-anniversary re-release for the home formats, specifically the 4K format, according to a press release from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. At the moment, I only have information for a US release, which has been confirmed for a release there on 6th December.

Director Spike Jonze delivers a stunningly original comedy that seamlessly blends fictional characters and situations with the lives of real people: obsessive orchid hunter John Laroche (Chris Cooper), New Yorker journalist Susan Orlean (Meryl Streep), Hollywood screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (Nicolas Cage), and his twin brother, Donald (also Cage). As Charlie struggles to adapt Orlean’s best-selling book “The Orchid Thief,” he writes himself into his own movie.

There is some information for the planned bonus features, which you can check out below.

  • All-new Dolby Atmos audio + original theatrical 5.1

This 4K UHD release does not include a Blu-ray
