Krzysztof Kieslowski’s ‘Three Colours Trilogy’ returning to cinemas, disc in 4K

We’ve just heard that Krzysztof Kieslowski’s ‘Three Colours Trilogy’, newly restored in 4K, will be screened in UK cinemas this spring before the release of the new 7-disc 4K Ultra HD & Blu-Ray box set.

Available for the first time in the UK in 4K Krzysztof Kieslowski’s award-winning trilogy explores the French Revolutionary ideals of freedom, equality and brotherhood, and their relevance to the contemporary world. It is a snapshot of European life at a time of reconstruction after the Cold War, reflected through the filmmaker’s moralist view of human nature and illuminated by each title’s palette colour.

Three Colours: Blue will release in cinemas on 31st March, Three Colours: White will land on screens a week later on 7th April, while Three Colours: Blue will have its big-screen 4K release on 14th April.
