Netflix has put in an order for an eight part Man On Fire series. The new show will follow the 2004 Tony Scott-directed flick of the same name as well as a previous 1987 Italian feature.
The 2004 version was famously led by Denzel Washington who played the character of John Creasy, a former mercenary who must bring his best friend’s killer down, while also protecting his daughter. The new series will reportedly be based on will be based on the first two of the five-book series by A.J. Quinnell with Kyle Killen (Fear Street) on board as writer, executive producer and showrunner.
The Man On Fire book was first published back in 1980.
No news on who will be leading the cast of the new series, but we’ll keep you posted.
