James Franco Set To Play The Game

Everyone’s favourite crazy actor James Franco has signed up to star in one-night-stand comedy THE GAME. Based on  part-autobiography, part how-to guide by the real-life Strauss, the adaptation is to be written by GAME OF THRONES scribe D.B Weiss.

Franco, who has previously appeared on screen as a stoner, gay activist, serial killer artist, super-villain, body-pillow enthusiast, and Alzheimer’s scientist who accidentally created super-intelligent chimps, will take on the role of seduction teacher ‘Mystery’. Teacher to central character Neil Strauss, Mystery passes on his pick-up tricks in order to help Strauss become a pulling expert.

The real-life Mystery once starred in VH1 reality show THE PICK-UP ARTIST in which he passed on his seduction techniques to a group of downtrodden men and challenged them to pick up a stripper…

Franco is continuing his schizophrenic career choices with an appearance as himself in Seth Rogen penned THE APOCALYPSE, and short film FRANCOPHRENIA using existing footage of his appearances on US soap GENERAL HOSPITAL.

THE GAME will be helmed by Chris Weitz, director of ABOUT A BOY and THE GOLDEN COMPASS.
